A denominational officer takes a course in organizational theory at a local university. The officer’s employer pays the full cost of tuition, plus books and fees. The total cost comes to $2,500. Should this amount be reported as taxable income to the officer, or is it a tax-free fringe benefit?

A denominational agency operates a website on the Internet. The website frequently contains the text of articles that denominational leaders find interesting and photos of world events from major news sources. The website also contains several photos taken of adults and  children at camps and other activities sponsored by the denomination. No permission is ever sought for the use of such materials. What legal risks, if any, is the agency exposed to as a result of these activities?
