Child Abuse Reporting Laws for Pennsylvania

State and Statute: Pennsylvania, Consol. Stats. title 23 §§ 6311 et seq.

What Is Reportable "Abuse": Physical, mental, or sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, or neglect. [6303(b.1)]

Mandatory Reporters: Includes any "clergyman, priest, rabbi, minister, Christian Science practitioner, religious healer or spiritual leader of any regularly established church or other religious organization," a school employee, a child-care service employee with direct contact with children, or "an individual paid or unpaid, who, on the basis of the individual's role as an integral part of a regularly scheduled program, activity or service, is a person responsible for the child's welfare or has direct contact with children."
