An Illinois appeals court ruled that a state law granting immunity to teachers for negligent supervision of students applied to a church-operated child care program. As a result, a supervisor could not be sued for injuries sustained by a child who fell from a slide and injured her leg. Hilgendorf v. First Baptist Church, 510 N.E.2d 527 (Ill. App. 1987).
